Commissioned portraits

I will paint animals (best at dogs and horses) and humans, and in a head and shoulders format. I work from photographs, yet a brief video of the subject is helpful if available.  Most animals are done on 12 x 16 canvas in oil (I only paint in oil), and humans are in 16 x 20, except for special orders.  Multiple images are quoted upon request through our email sales@djtportrait.com.  Typical animal portraits range from $750 - 1,250 and humans from 1,500 to 5,000 & up. For example, pictured here the two dogs and the horse would be 750, the B&W couple 2,000 and the B&W man in suit was 5,000 (24 x 30), and the young lady would be 2,000.  The copy of Feruzzi's Madonna of the Streets is from my personal collection, but a two image portrait like that would be 3,000.  Multiple animal images in a single painting would be 1,000 per image.  As typical of most commissioned art, 2/3 is required on order and the final third on approval of digital image two weeks prior to delivery.  Paintings typically take 6 - 8 weeks for delivery, on stretched canvas...size of final delivery may vary as I sense the overall presentation of the image.  I deliver them varnished, which requires a minimum of two weeks and up to several months for the paint to dry to the touch before application, so we will discuss that when I receive your images and assess how thick the paint might be. Note in the shopping cart I have included a 250.00 unit price, so if we require a 1000.00 deposit, I would instruct you to select 250 with a quantity of 4.
